Residential Care in Surrey
Are you looking for high quality residential care in Surrey? Kingswood Court, located in Tadworth, Surrey, is an expertly maintained residential care home that’s well-known for its dedicated dementia wing. Residents will receive care in this incredible Grade II listed building that has retained all of its Georgian charm and heritage.
What is a residential care home?
A residential care home is a place where people who can no longer live fully independently receive care. Residential care is most often provided in shared accommodation where carers and support staff are available 24/7. Residential care at Kingswood Court works exactly like this - our residents having their own rooms, but with many communal spaces for them to enjoy as well, all while being given the support they need.
Residential care doesn’t always have to be permanent, it can be a temporary solution too. It can act as a short period of care given to someone who is recovering from an illness, for example - we also refer to this as respite care. However, for many people, residential care is more long-term but this obviously depends on each individual's needs.
Our fantastic team of carers and support staff help our residents with a variety of tasks. From day-to-day activities like washing, eating and taking medication, to helping them take part in various activities like cleaning, shopping, and cooking - it all depends on the residents’ capacity. This is exactly why we make personalised care plans for each of our residents so that we’re able to provide them with the right level of care.
We also understand the importance of regular social interaction and physical activity, which is why we encourage residents to take part in a variety of activities to promote this. We host regular opportunities for our residents to socialse, and we also have wonderful gardens at Kingswood Court which they are free to experience whenever they like.
Who might need residential care?
People can go into residential care for a number of reasons. Mainly, it’s because they might be struggling to look after themselves in their current living situation. This could be because of an illness, their age or because of a disability or health condition. Whatever the reason - Kingswood Court welcomes any new residents.
You do not need to have 24/7 care to go into a residential care home, however we can provide this level of support should you need it. Our goal is to make life easier and more comfortable for our residents, helping them with whatever they need. As we mentioned earlier, residential care can be temporary. We are happy to provide care for as long or as short a time as you need it.
