We know that care includes not just physical welfare, but also mental and emotional wellbeing. Available at Kingswood Court is a host of activities designed to engage the mind and improve overall quality of life. Our Activities Coordinator works with individuals to ensure everyone has something they can enjoy.
Our spacious grounds include lawns and woodland areas, and we encourage our residents to stay active for as long as possible. This includes walks around the grounds and the local area, as well as participating in our other activities such as making music, dancing and more.
We are a CQC “outstanding” rated care home near Dorking, so you can be assured that your loved one is receiving the highest quality of care.
Activities

Therapy Dog
Our therapy dog’s visits are enjoyed by many of the residents. Grizelda is a licensed therapy dog with a calm, friendly personality. She loves being stroked and getting attention almost as much as our residents like to provide it!
Music
Music is a powerful way to engage people in movement and to engage the mind. Our Activities Coordinator organises various music-related activities from creating music to dancing or singing.
Our Music For Memory activity is designed to help those suffering from dementia access emotions and memories that otherwise might be out of reach. We’ve found it a fantastic tool to help even those in the later stages of dementia engage with external stimuli and have some fun!
Dining
We have a beautiful dining area and an in-house chef that serves up hot meals for our residents. The menu changes day to day with a couple of different options to choose from. Our chef cooks up highly nutritious and delicious meals from cuisines all around the world.
Outdoors
We have beautiful and spacious grounds around our Georgian era home. We often organise events on the lawn for friends and family, and encourage residents who are able to take a walk around the paths and woodland area.
Specialist Dementia Care for Dorking
In addition to our nursing care, we also offer specialist dementia care in a separate area of the home. From the décor to the activity stations, our Kestrel Wing is specifically designed to minimise confusion for people suffering with dementia.
